Legal Anabolic Steroids Bodybuilding Powder DHEA CAS: 53-43-0 for Protecting Against Obesity
Description:
we all (men and women) naturally create DHEA in our bodies - the hormone plays a role in more than 150 different metabolic functions. In fact, it’s one of the most abundant hormones in the human body! The adrenal glands are the primary producers of naturally occurring DHEA, but men also secrete it from their testes. Once produced, your body converts it to several other hormones, including androstenedione and several sex hormones, earning it the nick name “the parent hormone.”
In some ways, DHEA works like a natural anabolic steroid, since it boosts production of natural growth hormones that help build lean muscle mass and fight fat accumulation. That’s why the supplement form is popular among athletes and bodybuilders. In fact, although they’re normally very safe, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) banned DHEA supplements because their benefits can be very strong.

Background:
Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is a hormone that comes from the adrenal gland. It is also made in the brain. DHEA leads to the production of androgens and estrogens (male and female sex hormones). DHEA levels in the body begin to decrease after age 30. Levels decrease more quickly in women. Lower DHEA levels are found in people with hormonal disorders, HIV/AIDS, Alzheimers disease, heart disease, depression, diabetes, inflammation, immune disorders, and osteoporosis. Corticosteroids, birth control taken by mouth, and agents that treat psychiatric disorders may reduce DHEA levels.
DHEA Benefits & Supplement Uses:
1. Metabolic syndrome
Studies show DHEA helps reduce abdominal fat and improve insulin resistance. Other studies suggest that DHEA helps reduce inflammation in the arteries and reduce arterial stiffness.
2. Heart disease
Studies link low DHEA levels with an increase in heart disease. Researchers aren sure whether supplementing with DHEA is safe or reduces risk.
3. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
Lupus or SLE is an autoimmune disorder. That means that the bodys immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissue. Several studies show that taking DHEA along with other medications helps improve quality of life for people with lupus, though it probably does not change the overall course of their disease.
Several studies have found that some people who take DHEA supplements may be able take less prescription medication. DHEA may also reduce the frequency of flare ups, enhance mental function, and boost bone mass in women with lupus. Many studies use 200 mg per day of DHEA, which can raise levels of testosterone and lower HDL "good" cholesterol. One study found that a lower dose -- 20 to 30 mg -- might also work. Most of these studies have been small. So more studies are needed to determine whether DHEA is safe and effective for people with lupus.
4. Adrenal insufficiency
DHEA is one of the hormones made by the adrenal glands. With adrenal insufficiency, the adrenal glands do not make enough hormones, including DHEA and cortisol. That happens either because of problems with the pituitary gland or damage to the adrenal glands themselves (also called Addisons disease).
Several studies suggest that taking DHEA may help improve mood, fatigue, and well being. In one study, women with this condition who took DHEA supplements reported improved sexuality and sense of well being, including fewer feelings of depression and anxiety.
Adrenal insufficiency requires a doctors care. You shouldn take DHEA on your own for adrenal insufficiency. Severe adrenal insufficiency can be a medical emergency, especially when first diagnosed.
5. Depression
A few studies of people with major depression found that DHEA improved symptoms compared to placebo. The results aren entirely clear, and researchers don know what the long-term effects of taking DHEA might be. More research is needed. Don try to treat depression by yourself. People with depression need medical care.
6. Osteoporosis
Preliminary studies suggest that DHEA may help reduce bone loss in older women. It doesn seem to have the same effect in men. And in one study it didn help women who were under age 70.
7. Obesity
Studies using DHEA to treat overweight people have found conflicting results. Animal studies have found DHEA to help reduce body weight. Human studies found that taking DHEA didn change total body weight. But it did improve total body fat and LDL ("bad") cholesterol. More research is needed.
8. Erectile dysfunction
One study found that DHEA helped men with erectile dysfunction (ED) get and sustain an erection, possibly because the body converts DHEA into testosterone. However, more research is needed to know whether DHEA really helps.
Improved libido in women
Research suggests that DHEA may help improve sex drive in older women (but not younger women). More studies are needed.
9. Anti-Aging
DHEA is associated with anti-aging effects that help protect bone loss and lower the risk for fractures or conditions like osteoporosis. Apart from aging, bone loss occurs at higher rates in people with thyroid or autoimmune disorders, poor diets, sedentary lifestyles, eating disorders and hormonal imbalances. Some evidence suggests that higher DHEA levels improve estrogen production, resulting in higher bone mineral density in older or post-menopausal women. These women are most at risk for bone-related disorders.
In terms of memory loss, some studies have shown that DHEA improves learning and memory in people who have low DHEA levels. But other studies have not found any improvement. More research is needed.
10. HIV
People with HIV tend to have low levels of DHEA. And these levels decrease even more as the disease progresses. One small study found that DHEA improved mental function in men and women with HIV. However, no human studies show whether DHEA can improve immune function in people with HIV.
11. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD):
Inflammation is the root of most diseases and is tied to just about every age-related health problem that exists. Restoring DHEA production, both naturally with certain lifestyle habits and also through use of supplements, can improve many youthful qualities. DHEA’s ability to lower inflammation and balance hormones helps facilitate higher energy levels, a leaner body and more vitality. DHEA taken in supplement form boosts certain hormone levels (like testosterone and estrogen), helps prevent autoimmune reactions and mood disorders like depression and improves overall quality of life in many ways.
Research shows that people with metabolic syndrome - a term characterized by a combination of risk factors related to high inflammation such as obesity/being overweight, having high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes - tend to have lower levels of DHEA. Studies also show that obese adults tend to produce less DHEA compared to healthy weight adults. Scientists also associate low DHEA with inflammatory autoimmune disorders like lupus and arthritis.
Studies involving women with autoimmune disorders like lupus and thyroid disorders suggest that low DHEA levels negatively impact internal organs, the skin and the immune system. Research also suggests that DHEA supplementation may help improve symptoms of aches and pain, ongoing fatigue and inflammatory skin reactions safely without many, or any, side effects in many adults.
Other uses
Studies suggest that DHEA supplementation may be beneficial for other health conditions, including infertility, schizophrenia, cocaine withdrawal, anorexia nervosa, and dementia. More research is needed.
How Does It Work?
DHEA is a "parent hormone" produced by the adrenal glands near the kidneys and in the liver. In men, DHEA is also secreted by the testes. It is changed in the body to a hormone called androstenedione. Androstenedione is then changed into the major male and female hormones.
DHEA levels seem to go down as people get older. DHEA levels also seem to be lower in people with certain conditions like depression. Some researchers think that replacing DHEA with supplements might prevent some diseases and conditions.
How to Take It:
If you are under 40, you shouldn take DHEA without your doctors supervision. Your doctor can determine whether your DHEA levels are low (less than 130 mg/dl in women and less than 180 mg/dl in men).
Don give DHEA to a child unless your childs doctor tells you to.
The dose of DHEA may depend on a persons gender, age, and condition. Laboratory tests can assess your DHEA levels before you take it, and can monitor levels after you start. Talk to your doctor to find the right dose for you.
Higher doses have been used to treat lupus. People with lupus should not take DHEA without first talking to their doctor.
Your body makes DHEA primarily in the morning, so taking DHEA in the morning will mimic this natural rhythm.
Side Effects:
DHEA may cause side effects related to other hormones. Women may experience symptoms such as oily skin, increased unnatural hair growth, a deep voice, irregular periods, smaller breast size, and increased genital size. Men may experience breast tenderness, urinary urgency, aggression, or reduced size of the testes. Other side effects that may occur in either sex include acne, sleep problems, headache, nausea, skin itching, and mood changes. DHEA may also affect levels of other hormones, insulin, and cholesterol. Safety information is lacking on the long-term effects of DHEA. DHEA may increase the risk of prostate, breast, and ovarian cancers. It is not suggested for regular use without a health professionals care.
